Risking Controversy

I was ever so pleased to see the first Civil Partnerships a.ka. 'Gay Wedding' take place in Norn Iron. With us ones showing the Englanders et al how to do it in style and the Free Ps and all kindly singing at the ceremony and providing a bit of local colour.

And now I have a confession to make. Adam! Stop reading now! I am really looking forward to 'Brokeback Mountain'. I lurrrve that sort of thing. Two gorgeous men. In cowboy outfits. Keeping their boots on.

I thought the two fellas should have had the first ceremony. Purely for the style of the pink limo. But then I'm shallow like that.

Oh, and Brokeback Mountain looks like the biggest heap of poo since Titanic. But that's just my opinion.

Would you like it if it was about Angelina Jolie and (insert some other lovely female) getting sapphic amidst stunningly beautiful scenery etc. etc?

Did you notice that one of the first newly partnered women was a bit of a dead ringer for Dawn French?

And the pink limo was class. For blokes that is. Deliciously ironic.

Probably not. A bad movie is a bad movie.

I didn't notice any Dawn French resemblance, but I did think that a term rhyming with 'ringer' could be applied. In all my cruelty, etc, etc.

I'm speechless with fury at your lack of seasonal goodwill towards all persons etc. etc.

Singer, woman, I was thinking of the word singer. Which singer, I'll leave up to your imagination.

What did you think I was on about?

A rather squat Elvis Presley?

Perhaps cross bred with a well know Italian opera singer...

She wasn't that fat! I think it was just the cut of the tux.

It's nice to know we can always rely on Twenty to say the things we're too polite to say...
