Time Races By

This week has flown past. What was I doing? When did I ever get time to blog before?

I went to work, I played a few games of Scrabulous, I drank at least one gin every night (maybe that's what I'm doing wrong), I tried to keep my house tidy and I read a book.

You know what it is. Having Pearlie staying with us is sucking up all my mental energy. She is such a negative person that she totally drains me.

I have a new tactic in my battle to stay sane. There will be no more reasoning with her, no more negotiations and no arguments. Instead I will be bland, pleasant and very, very boring. Yes! That's it. I'm going to bore her to death.

Did you have more than one gin before writing this message.

And I would agree best not argue with the old dear -

You will get the same treatment has I was never good at holding my arguements.

    Love Ya xxx

I'm with Katy - very difficult to avoid replying when your buttons are pushed. But, that is just me. Never can keep my mouth shut when an argument beckons.

Good luck, but don't work yourself into a stroke trying to be calm.

    Try giving Pearlie the gin...

  3. Is this a more-or-less permanent living arrangement, or only until she recovers?

  4. This arrangement is until death does us part. That's the plan anyway.

I could just see her girned-up, soor face if we gave her gin, "I dinny like it."

And Katkins, don't worry you'll have enough to do looking after your dad without worrying about me ;)

Pour all ingredients into a blender.
    Blend until smooth.
Pour into a chilled margarita or highball glass.
    Garnish with the pineapple.

  7. I like Ronni's suggestion very much. But who could be arsed with making cake? Just powder it into warm water and tell her it's a laxative. She likes laxatives.

Anna's suggestion. To good for P-Blue. I'll have that myself!
