Travelling through this world of woe
There is no sickness, toil nor danger
In that bright land to which I go
I'm going there to see my Father
And all my loved ones who've gone on
I'm just going over Jordan
I'm just going over home
I know dark clouds will gather 'round me
I know my way is hard and steep
But beauteous fields arise before me
Where God's redeemed their vigils keep
I'm going there to see my mother
She said she'd meet me when I come
So I'm just going over Jordan
I'm just going over home
Nelly, I am so sorry...there's never a good time to lose your mother...
ReplyDeleteThank you Ronni. But I was thinking of you and your loss when I was racing to her this morning - getting perspective. She died peacefully at a great age and for that we are so grateful.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you and your family, Mary!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Dixie

ReplyDeleteMy most sincere condolences. Delurking to say that I have followed your journey, which mirrors my own. Kudos your mother and to all those marvelous women who taught their daughters to do what needs to be done...and the wisdom to know what it is. Jane
