Imagine my pique when Bert told me that my pumpkin plants were being munched by a bloody rabbit. Where is Foxy when you need him?
"Do you want me to shoot him?" Bert said. "Most definitely," I replied. "Then we'll eat the little bastard."
So he did - and we did. And he was yummy.

Will you be wanting one. Much tastier than squirrels?
i had a garden and rabbits mowed through my leeks and carrots. years later i cut up a rabbit just like that and fricasseed it. so tasty.

OMG! You ate Peter Rabbit!
All we have are freakin' gophers. They are too ugly to eat.
Yes, I would eat a rabbit - I guess there'll be plenty more!
we might run out of ammo before we run out of rabbits!
i have visions of bert barely aiming, taking one shot and poor peter hitting the dirt...though i suspect the reality probably involved bert taking quite a lot of shots, and a wee bit swearing to help matters. do it again next time i'm over, love a bit of rabbit i do.

No Mikey that's magpies you're thinking of.
Rabbits just sit there quietly munching away on your greens while you line them up in your sights and shoot them clean through the napper. Piece of (rabbit) pie.
I hope you cooked it first ;)
Don't worry Anna, I kept his wee blue jacket and put it on the cat.
Wild food, the best kind. I reckon his friends will end up in the pot before long too.
Wild food - too right. Speaking of which I found an amazing stand of raspberry canes in a remote part of Tardree forest today. They are going to be a tremendous crop.
Hoping that Grannymar might come up with a rabbit recipe next Monday. I'm sure hey're even better cooked ;)
I wondered where my cat had gone!!!!
Magic! Don't tell anyone where they are and then harvest them and make jam.
