Firstly, I have to say that the title of this post is a just a
leetle misleading, as last night's coffee & shortbread-fuelled blogmeet was a very pleasant occasion indeed.
After I had established, although not entirely to my satisfaction, the romantic status of all young persons present, we proceeded to discuss recent murders, slaughters and massacres and as a result convinced young
Hails that she was very well off out of it.
Then we moved on to the amusing stuff, tales of global warming, bluebells, pilgrimages, naked men and religion. The evening flew by.
And speaking of flying -
Ed never mentioned helicopters once! Talk about hiding your light under a bucket.
Thanks to
Grannymar,
S.E.V.E.N., the aforementioned Ed and Hails for a great night. And thanks to
Hannah for not mortifying me at all with tales of my shortcomings.

Hiding my light under a bucket? Why nay. It's mainly because if I mentioned it then I'd have to explain why I've spent two years on it and have precisely nothing to show for it just yet...
But that aside, it was indeed a pleasure to see you all again (or for the first time)
That's nothing Ed. I spent ten years in CARS with nothing to show for it apart from Bert, and many, many driving instructors left nervous wrecks.
We did a lot of talking so!
Great to see you again & Hannah for the first time.
It was a great evening's craic for sure.
To be sure to be sure, it was great. me trying to type in a Dublin accent :-)
So when's the next one? And can it be on O'Rawes? And can we all get drunk?
And can me and the beach octopus come too?
